We will be meeting in the Damon Room, located on the 2nd floor. You will need to check in at the front desk (main entrance)
upon arrival, before proceeding to the Damon Room.
DIRECTIONS FROM MILLENNIUM HOTEL TO NCAR (NEW! - 10/9/08)
Turn right out of the parking lot onto 28th St. Take the exit for Baseline Road. Get in center lane. At the traffic light,
proceed across the intersection, onto 27th Way. Stay in center lane. At the traffic light, turn left onto Broadway. Get in
right lane, and head south on Broadway for about a mile. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Table Mesa Drive. The
speed limit through the residential neighborhood is 25 mph; watch your speed as the police patrol this road, because of the
elementary school. Table Mesa Drive ends in the Mesa Lab parking lot.
DIRECTIONS TO MILLENNIUM HOTEL FROM NCAR
Follow Table Mesa Drive from the parking lot to Broadway and turn left. Take Broadway to 27th Way and turn right.
Go two blocks and turn right onto Baseline Road. Get in left lane immediately. Get into left turn lane, to merge
onto 28th Street. Get into left lane after passing Colorado Avenue. Watch for Millennium Hotel on your left.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND RESERVATIONS
Please note that a block of sleeping rooms is being held for our group at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel for
the nights of 9-10 October, at the FY09 Government rate of $105.00/night plus 10.25% tax per night
(rate includes full hot breakfast buffet).
All hotel reservations will be handled through Brian Jackson at UCAR-JOSS, (bjackson_at_ucar.edu,
303-497-8663). Please contact Brian with any questions or modifications.
If you are a federal attendee (i.e., paid directly by the U.S. Treasury), please send
Brian your dates as soon as possible, so that we may fulfill our commitment to the hotel and maximize the use of our federal funding.
Brian will make reservations for UCAR-supported attendees - See TRAVEL below. Your room and tax charges will
be direct-billed to UCAR, but you are responsible for all incidental expenses.
Check-in: 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: 12:00 p.m.
Please note that there is a $75.00 Early Departure Fee for those who check out early without providing 24 hours' advance notice.

Cancellation Policy: Reservations must be canceled by 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival to avoid a
no-show charge. Please contact Brian to cancel or change your reservation. Should you need to have your reservation
cancelled, you will be provided with a cancellation number.

The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and to the Pearl Street Mall (depending on the weather), so a
rental car is not absolutely necessary (See TRANSPORTATION below).
The CONUS M&IE rate for Boulder is $54.00.
TRANSPORTATION FROM/TO DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Super Shuttle ticket counter is located on Level 5 of Denver International Airport...the same level as Baggage Claim, diagonally across from the Dollar
Rental counter in the main hall. Reservations for travel to Boulder are not accepted. However, you must make a reservation for your return trip to DIA,
303-227-0000 or 800-258-3826.
The Super Shuttle departs DIA for Boulder every hour on the hour from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and it departs the Millennium Harvest House every 30 minutes
past the hour from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
At DIA, board the shuttle at Door 504, Lane 4, on West Side ONLY. The fare is $25.00 one-way or $46.00 roundtrip to/from hotel.
WORKING LUNCHES
Please note that a working lunch will be provided. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend.
Federal attendees - Please note that UCAR is not allowed to provide meals for federal employees. Therefore
federal employees are requested to contribute $15.00 (the lunch portion of the M&IE for Boulder) towards the
cost of each lunch. See PAYMENT below.
UCAR-supported attendees - $15.00 for each lunch will be deducted from the travel
expense reimbursement claims of those attendees receiving travel support from UCAR.

It is now possible for federal attendees to pay for their meals via the Internet. Please note that UCAR accepts Visa and MasterCard only.
Federal attendees may combine the lunches and the group dinner into one payment:

2. Under "Payment Select", click on "Other Items" and then from the drop-down menu, choose
"Climate Service Meeting -

3. On the following screen, enter the amount above and fill in your billing information.
When you are ready,
click on the "Start Process" button.
4. You will receive an e-mail confirming your payment.
If you prefer to pay by check, please make your check payable to "UCAR" and send it to Brian Jackson,
UCAR-JOSS, P.O. Box 3000, Boulder, CO 80307. I will mail receipts to those who request one, following the meeting.
TRAVEL
Federal attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements, but should provide Brian with
the nights they need hotel reservations immediately (see LODGING above).
UCAR-supported attendees - Travel arrangements for non-federal attendees will be handled
by Brian Jackson through UCAR. Travel support includes round-trip airfare, lodging, per diem, rental car and misc. ground
transportation and airport parking.
Please contact Brian as soon as possible regarding your travel plans, if you have not done so
already. Please include the following information:
* preferred dates and departure times
* preferred departure airport
* your name as it appears on your driver's license and your ZIP Code
* any frequent flyer program account numbers
* your seating preference
