    A block of rooms is being held for our group for the nights of 29-31 January 2008 at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder. The government room rate is $98.00 plus 10.25% tax per night. The hotel will offer this rate for three days before and after our block dates, based on availibility. Also, this rate includes a full, hot breakfast buffet.

    The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and to Pearl Street Mall (depending on the weather), so a rental car is not absolutely necessary (See TRANSPORTATION below).

    PLEASE NOTE: All reservations are being made through Brian Jackson at UCAR-JOSS, bjackson@ucar.edu, 303-497-8663. The deadline to make your reservations is
    Thursday, 20 December 2007. Please contact Brian with your arrival and departure dates as soon as possible.

    After 20 December, reservations will be accepted on a space- and rate-available basis only.

      Federal attendees are responsible for their own room and tax charges as well as all incidental expenses.

      UCAR-supported attendees - See TRAVEL below. Room and tax charges for UCAR-supported participants will be direct-billed to UCAR. UCAR-supported attendees are responsible for all incidental expenses.

    Please note that there is a $75.00 Early Departure Fee for those who check out early without providing 24 hours' advance notice.

    Check-in: 3:00 p.m. Check-out: 12:00 p.m.

    Cancellation Policy: Reservations must be canceled by 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival to avoid a no-show charge. Please contact Brian to cancel or change your reservation. Should you need to have your reservation cancelled, you will be provided with a cancellation number.

    The CONUS M&IE rate for Boulder currently is $54.00.


    WORKING LUNCHES (NEW - 1/18/08)
    Please note that a working lunch will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday, 30-31 January. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend.

      Federal attendees - Please note that UCAR is not allowed to provide meals for federal employees. Therefore federal employees are requested to contribute $15.00 towards the cost of each lunch (the lunch portion of the M&IE for Boulder). See PAYMENT below.

      UCAR-supported attendees - $15.00 for the lunches will be deducted from the travel expense reimbursement claims of those attendees receiving travel support from UCAR.


    GROUP DINNER (NEW - 1/18/08)
    There will be a Group Dinner on Wednesday evening, 30 January, at Dolan's Restaurant in Boulder. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend. If you do not wish to attend the group dinner, please contact Brian Jackson before Friday, 25 January 2008.

      Federal attendees - Please note that UCAR is not allowed to provide meals for federal employees. Therefore federal employees are requested to contribute $26.00 towards the cost of their dinner (the dinner portion of the M&IE for Boulder). See PAYMENT below.

      UCAR-supported attendees - $26.00 for the dinner will be deducted from the travel expense reimbursement claims of those attendees receiving travel support from UCAR.

    Please note that Dolan's is within easy walking distance of the Millennium Harvest House. Dolan's is located at 2319 Arapahoe Ave., just west of the NW corner of Arapahoe and Folsom.

    Federal attendees may combine the lunches and the group dinner into one payment:

    $26.00 - 1 Group dinner

      1. Please proceed to https://www.fin.ucar.edu/epayment/startEpayments.do

      2. Under "Payment Select", click on "Other Items" and then from the drop-down menu, choose "DAARWG Meeting - Boulder 30-31 January 2008 - Reg Fee", and then click on the "Next" button.

      3. On the following screen, enter the amount above and fill in your billing information.
      When you are ready, click on the "Start Process" button.

      4. You will receive an e-mail confirming your payment.

      If you prefer to pay by check, please make your check payable to "UCAR" and send it to Brian Jackson, UCAR-JOSS, P.O. Box 3000, Boulder, CO 80307. I will mail receipts to those who request one, following the meeting.


    PRESENTATIONS
    An Apple OSX Titanium laptop will be used for all presentation projections. However, if your PowerPoint presentation was prepared on a PC and contains animations, please plan to use your own PC laptop to make your presentation.


    DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT TO HOTEL


    SUPER SHUTTLE
    For information on taking the Super Shuttle to/from Boulder, click here.

    The Super Shuttle ticket counter is located on Level 5 of Denver International Airport...the same level as Baggage Claim, diagonally across from the Dollar Rental counter in the main hall. Reservations for travel to Boulder are not accepted. However, you must make a reservation for your return trip to DIA, 303-227-0000 or 800-258-3826.

    The Super Shuttle departs DIA for Boulder every hour on the hour from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and it departs the Millennium Harvest House every 30 minutes past the hour from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

    At DIA, board the shuttle at Door 504, Lane 4, on West Side ONLY. The fare is $25.00 one-way or $46.00 roundtrip to/from hotel.


    TRANSPORTATION TO MEETING VENUE AND DINNER (UPDATED - 1/18/08)
    UCAR will provide a 15-passgenger shuttle (with UCAR markings) for transportation between the Millennium Harvest House and the Center Green facility. We will also provide transportation to and from Dolan's restaurant for those who prefer not to walk. Here is the shuttle schedule:

      Wednesday, 30 January
      • depart Hotel for Center Green - 11:15 a.m.
      • depart Center Green for Hotel - 5:45 p.m.
      • depart Hotel for Restaurant - 6:15 p.m.
      • depart Restaurant following dinner

      Thursday, 31 January
      • depart Hotel for Center Green - 7:45 a.m.
      • depart Center Green for Hotel - 5:45 p.m.

    The Harvest House will also offer free shuttle service to UCAR's Center Green facility for those who may have missed the UCAR Shuttle. Please let Brian Jackson know if you are interested in the shuttle service.


    TRAVEL

      Federal attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements, but should provide Brian with the nights they need hotel reservations (see LODGING above).

      UCAR-supported attendees - Travel arrangements for non-federal attendees will be handled by Brian Jackson through UCAR. Travel support includes round-trip airfare, lodging, per diem, misc. ground transportation and airport parking.

      Please contact Brian as soon as possible regarding your travel plans, if you have not done so already. Please include the following information:

        * preferred dates and departure times
        * preferred departure airport
        * your name as it appears on your driver's license
        * any frequent flyer program account numbers
        * your seating preference
