Abstract Submission Abstracts can be submitted online during the registration process. There are 3 session subjects for which we will be accepting abstracts. They are: 1) Observations of land-surface/ecosystem function changes and their 2) Modeling effects of land-use/land-cover change and ecological 3) Monitoring and quantifying land-use/land-cover change and Each oral presentation must be no longer than 15 minutes, and only 1 oral presentation is allowed per person. Please follow the instructions below for proper submission of your abstract. Please note that abstracts will be organized alphabetically by the corresponding author's last name, so be sure to include that information. Please click here to view formatting requirements for the abstracts. To be considered for acceptance, all abstracts are due by 5:00 pm Mountain Time on August 3. Participants will be notified regarding abstract acceptance by August 10. Please note that while the abstract submission cutoff is August 3, you can still register to attend the workshop after that date.
Poster Specifications Posters should be no larger than 4'x4'. Poster boards and push pins will be provided onsite, and participants can set up their posters first thing Monday morning and may leave them up throughout the meeting. Posters must be taken down by noon on Wednesday. Poster abstracts should be submitted online during the registration process.
Travel
Lodging Millennium Harvest House The Millennium Hotel is located in downtown Boulder and is near the new 29th Street Mall, restaurants, and the Boulder Creek Path. The Millennium has a van available to transport guests anywhere in a 5-mile radius for a small fee. The van can be reserved for groups up to 12. Parking at the Millennium is free. Please make your own reservation directly with the Millennium by Friday, August 10th. After that date, the hotel is not obligated to offer the group rate and will give it only based on availability. Please book under the name UCAR Detecting Workshop.

Marriott Residence Inn The Marriott Residence Inn is located only 1 block from the meeting location. Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, and there is free high-speed internet access in every suite (this is not wireless). Parking at the Residence Inn is free. Please make your own reservation directly with the Residence Inn by Friday, August 10th .
