Boulder is a city of 100,000, elevation 5,400 feet (1650 meters), located thirty miles northwest of image3Denver. It's just under an hour's drive from Denver International Airport. Most visitors to Boulder begin by exploring in-town spots such as the Pearl Street Mall and historic Chautauqua Park.  Boulder is surrounded by a wonderful greenbelt with 120 miles of trails. The front range of the Rocky Mountains rises on the west side of town. The entire region is a paradise for hiking, cycling, rock climbing and almost every kind of outdoor activity.  With its mix of natural and urban sights, Boulder is a great place to explore. You might also find that Boulder is an excellent jumping-off point to visit the rest of colorful Colorado.  It's an hour's drive to Estes Park, gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park..  And just above Boulder is the mountain town of Nederland and the beautiful peak-to-peak highway which also makes a great day’s outing.
