After an extensive high pressure system finally moved out of Europe the first IOP was called to measure precipitation over the Ligurian coast. The Electra flew a four-hour mission, but no significant precipitation was encountered, as the main system was to the south of the target area. The Electra also flew legs over the Brenner Pass and Rhine Valley: all airborne and ground systems were checked out.
