III. Summary of MAP

Intensive Observing Periods (IOPs)

Before we describe the consecutive IOPs in detail, we wish to state that the field phase was conducted in great harmony and that the difficulties usually connected with multiple operations centers were overcome by excellent planning, close communications and the good will of all participants. All host countries provided an efficient and enjoyable environment and deserve the warm thanks of all participants.
