ACCOMMODATIONS
A block of rooms is being held for our group for the nights of 22-23 April 2009 at the Lorien Hotel
& Spa, with a few rooms being held for the night of 24 April. The government rate is $209.00
plus 11.5% tax and fees per night ($234.04 total).
PLEASE NOTE: All hotel reservations will be made by Brian Jackson at UCAR-JOSS via a rooming list with the hotel. Federal attendees should contact Brian with your hotel reservation request -specifying which nights you need- by COB on 20 March. UCAR-supported attendees see TRAVEL below.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.
WORKING LUNCHES (NEW! 4/8/09)
Please note that a working lunch will be provided on both days. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend.
Federal attendees and those on federal travel orders - Please note that UCAR is prohibited by NOAA from providing meals to federal employees. Therefore federal employees are requested to contribute $36.00 towards the cost of the lunch (the lunch portion of the M&IE for metro Washington). See PAYMENT below.
UCAR-supported attendees - $36.00 for the lunch will be deducted from the travel expense reimbursement claims of those attendees receiving travel support from UCAR.
NOTE: Working lunches will be served in the Liberty Ballroom.
GROUP DINNER (NEW! 4/8/09)
There will be a Group Dinner on Thursday evening, 23 April, at Gadsby's Tavern in Old Town Alexandria. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend.
If you do not wish to attend the group dinner, please contact Brian Jackson before Friday, 17 April 2009.

3. On the following screen, enter the amount above and fill in your billing information.
When you are ready,

4. You will receive an e-mail confirming your payment.

DIRECTIONS TO HOTEL
The Lorien is located just two blocks from the King Street Metro (Blue and Yellow Lines) and one-half from the Amtrak station in Alexandria. Reagan National Airport is approximately three
miles away (2 stops on the Metro, Blue and Yellow Lines).
